ASHRAE® fulfills its mission of advancing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education. 2019-20 President's Message By: Tom Streber Welcome to the ASHRAE 2019/20 program year! We kicked off the year with our annual clam bake at the Burgundy Basin Inn on September 16th. Our program speaker was Vinny Esposito from Empire State Development, Finger Lakes Region. Mr. Esposito gave a very informative and relevant presentation on our state’s involvement with business growth opportunities, Lake Ontario and the IJC’s Plan of 2014 and small business incentives. Our Chapter Officers and Committee Chairs have been meeting for the past few months to put together year of programs that we hope will draw interest to those of us in the HVAC business. Our first lunch meeting will be at noon on October 21st at the City Grill on East Avenue. Please check this website for our complete meeting schedule. The meetings are typically held on the 2nd Monday of the month, but always at the City Grill. There are still some open meetings. If you have a topic of interest or a desire to present, please contact Mike Benedict at mike@airsystemsbalancing.com .
